Our pricing is designed to be fair for the work involved and the experience we bring to the table.
One thing we can guarantee is that you will be able to find someone to do it “cheaper” or even “free”, and if this is your primary consideration then we are not the company for you.
We’d rather be clear and upfront about this.
It's not as simple as pick a package and here's the price.
There are several factors that go towards determining the price of a website project, and this guide is intended to give an idea of the likely cost we will quote for you.
These prices and meant to be indicative and to help you to determine the level of budget that is likely to be required.
A full quote will of course be provided when we discuss a project with you, but we wanted to give you an idea of our pricing scope.
A Landing Page is a single page, without navigation. Often use as part of an email campaign, but increasingly used as a small, starter Website. Price is £500
A Micro Site takes the same concept and introduces a second page and some navigation. Price is £800
Small Websites, assume around 5 pages £1,200
Medium Websites, assume around 10 pages £1,500
Corporate Websites - dependent on specific requirements, it's difficult to give a real figure without discussing with you, but typically in the region of £3,000.
Cost per page is not something we work on as that is not indicative of the work required or value provided
Small e-Commerce sites, assume around 10 pages and around 25 products £2,600
01
This is your website content. We can do the copywriting for you from scratch, work with outline copy you provide or use final copy that you provide. The choice is yours. Our price for producing copy is generally in the range of £100 per page, but is dependant on many factors, including the amount of research we need to do.
02
Good images are vital to delivering a good experience to your target audience, and video can be a very useful tool if used correctly.
Images or video that you provide are good to use, as long as you own the copyright or have permission to use them.
Stock images and video can be sourced for you and we charge the cost of the usage licence plus a fee for the time it takes us, and we can also provide custom professional photography and video which is charged from £250 per day.
03
Email accounts, if you need them, are charged from £4 per month depending on the type of account you need.
04
We group these together and treat them as a whole.
Your website needs to be hosted and to have a domain, and associated licences. We prefer to provide and manage the hosting and domain for you, and our cost for this along with the necessary licences is £30 per month for the first year and £50 per month after that.
It is possible for you to manage the domain and hosting yourself, and in this case we will tell you what licences you need to purchase to go along with that.
If you decide to provide your own hosting then you take responsibility for all hosting maintenance, website uploads, plug-ins, backup and security. We manage this for you as part of the monthly fee when hosting / domain / licensing is provided by us. We also provide technical support for resolving hosting issues should they occur, for websites where we provide the Domain / Hosting / Licencing package, but do not provide support for projects where this is managed by you. Of course we will help you if you have a problem with your own hosting or domain, but this is chargeable at £100 per hour.
There are a number of elements involved in building an email campaign and without discussing your exact requirements and providing a tailored solution it is difficult to give an accurate price, but for budget purposes you should be thinking in terms of around £1,000 for an email campaign.
There are some specific things you need to bear in mind when considering the likely cost of an email campaign:
Who is the email going to?
Where are you sourcing the addresses from?
What do you want to say to your audience?
Are you pointing them to a Landing Page (generally, you should be) ?
How will the email campaign be broadcast?
How will you measure open rates, click-through rates etc?
How will you do follow ups?
How are you handling legislative rules?
How are you going to ensure you don't get labelled as a spam merchant?
There are a few factors to consider and we can assist you with some or all of them.
Websites that we build are designed and built with Google in mind so there is no additional cost for providing this basic building block.
We can setup and manage your Google Business Profile if required and the cost for this is a one-off fee of £250.
Should you require specific Google or SEO campaigns this should only be considered after your website has been live for a number of months, and as a budget figure you should be thinking in terms of from £600 per month, and planning for a campaign to last for at least 6 months.
These projects are not cheap and are not entered into lightly. It's important to be committed to a medium to long term campaign where, between us, we determine this will be beneficial, but bear in mind that relatively few of our website projects go on to require any expenditure on Google, because we build them from the outset with Google in mind.
Paid advertising, or pay per click campaigns are something we can do for you but we very rarely recommend these because a) they are expensive and b) the value is quickly diminished when the campaign finishes.
There are, however, situations where this is a desirable path to follow, and our price for managing these campaigns is from £300 per month plus the Google cost which is entirely dependant on your requirements. Where these campaigns are to be considered, we will guide you through the processes, pitfalls, benefits and costs before taking on a project.
01
For qualifying businesses we are able to offer to spread project payments over a period of between 4 and 12 months, which can often help with cashflow and budgeting.
It's only fair to tell you that while we do not charge interest on this scheme, the overall cost will be higher than if the project is paid upfront.
Again we want to be clear and transparent on this.
02
From time to time we are able to offer a Matched Funding Scheme for website development projects, and are proud to be the only Digital Agency in Scotland with access to this.
For qualifying businesses, this effectively reduces your costs to around 50% of the usual price.
When this scheme is active and where businesses qualify for it, we will tell you when discussing a new project.
